Howard Took The Hard Path to Make Bills Roster

  • Posted on September 8, 2010 at 4:16 pm

Cordaro Howard Buffalo BillsWhether you join one of the elite teams in the National Football League or one mired in mediocrity, the path is basically the same; if you’re not drafted and forced to go the undrafted free agent route to make a roster, the odds of seeing your name on the back of a NFL jersey come opening day are monstrously diminutive.

Cordaro Howard sat around draft weekend last April and waited for his name to be called. By the time the annual spectacle was over, 256 prospects had become a member of an NFL franchise.

Howard wasn’t among them.

Obviously disappointed, Howard briefly felt the sting of getting passed over by 32 teams.  But rather than have it deter him from his goal of playing in the NFL, Howard immediately scrutinized what organizations would give him the best opportunity to prove his worth and soon after he was on a plane headed to Buffalo to sign with the Buffalo Bills.r

Bills Add Leon to Practice Squad

  • Posted on September 8, 2010 at 11:59 am

The Buffalo Bills announced they have added tight end DajLeon to their practice team, using up their eighth and final spot on the squad.

Farr was an undrafted free agent out of Memphis who spent the preseason fighting for a spot on the Dallas Cowboys roster.  He had two catches for 26 yards for Dallas before being among their final 20 cuts last Saturday.

The Bills have two healthy tight ends on their roster right now; Jonathan Stupar and David Martin.  Shawn Nelson will miss the first four games of the season because of a suspension.

Leon had 14 catches for 76 yards and a touchdown as a senior at Memphis last year.

UB Volleyball Has Five Match Win Streak Snapped

  • Posted on September 8, 2010 at 10:01 am

Dani ReinhartThe University at Buffalo volleyball team had its five-match winning streak snapped on Tuesday night as UB fell at Syracuse, 3-0, at the Women’s Building.  The loss drops UB’s record to 6-2 on the season.

Down 24-16 in the first set the Bulls were able to tie it up on the serving of freshman Dani Reinert.  Reinert had three aces during the run to pull the Bulls even at 24.  However, Syracuse would regain the edge with two straight points to take the opening set, 26-24. The second set was close as well with the Bulls hanging in, however the Orange were again able to hold on for the win in the set, taking it 25-21.

Sabres Alt 1(Note- This post comes courtesy of Icethetics.info, who have allegedly captured what the Sabres 40th anniversary jerseys look like, 11 days before they are scheduled to be introduced to the public)

So this is funny. Just hours after I debunked a fake leak, the real thing is here — with 11 days until the unveiling.

Seems someone secretly snapped photos of the Buffalo Sabres’ new road and alternate jerseys.
