The Buffalo Bills offensive line is in shambles this year. Ryan Fitzpatrick and Trent Edwards (while he was here) have been sacked a combined 20 times. But to set a team record, the offensive line is going to have to get progressively worse at pass protection.
Drew Bledsoe was sacked a franchise history high 54 times during the 2002 season. Bledsoe also tied Rob Johnson for the second most in a season the next year, getting dumped 49 times. For those keeping score, that’s 103 sacks in two NFL seasons.
That offensive line featured the likes of a young Mike Williams, an old Ruben Brown as well as Trey Teague, Jonas Jennings, Marques Sullivan and the ever-forgettable Bill Conaty.

Despite the team playing wimpy, unmotivated hockey, the man who assembled the team, Darcy Regier and the man who’s coaching the team, Lindy Ruff are staying put. And even worse, so are the players. Regier has faith in what he views as a 100-point team and Northeast Division Champion despite the fact none of the factors that contributed to the Sabres first post season appearance in three seasons are currently present in the lineup.
