The Buffalo Sabres visit the Toronto Maple Leafs tonight. Perhaps it will give them a spark, because playing at home surely isn’t working.
Buffalo lost last night at the HSBC Arena to Montreal and have yet to earn a win in seven tries at home this season. The players are frustrated. Lindy Ruff is frustrated. The fans are frustrated.
Everyone is frustrated.
It’s hard to understand such a drastic slide from just a year ago when the Sabres were already on their way to earning the Northeast Division title. After 14 games this year Buffalo has just eight points, dead last in the Eastern Conference and tied with Edmonton for the fewest points in the NHL.
