The NFL Combine will soon start and it’s no secret that the Buffalo Bills will be paying extra close attention to the wide receivers. Whether it comes via free agency, the draft or perhaps both, Buffalo will definitely be adding a wide receiver or two to the roster.
Unfortunately the Bills along with the NFL won’t get to see one of the biggest receiver draft prospects work out. California’s Keenan Allen will be forced to miss working out at the combine due to still recovering from a PCL injury in his left knee.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports the agent for Allen says he’ll be at the Combine and go through medical exams. Allen will work out during his school’s Pro Day on March 14 but won’t be at full speed until April.
Mike Mayock has Allen listed as the second-best wide receiver in this draft. Cordarrelle Patterson (Tennessee) is the top-ranked prospect at the position and will be working out at the Combine.
I’m sure Buddy Nix and the Bills staff will be playing close attention. Patterson could even be in the mix for the eighth overall pick in the draft.
