Pictured left is a sight Buffalo Bills fans don’t often see, and likely aren’t particularly fond of either.
Former Bills receiving great Andre Reed has joined the Kansas City Chiefs coaching staff for training camp, Reed accepted a Bill Walsh Minority Coaching Fellowship position on new Chiefs head coach Andy Reid’s staff. He’ll be involved with the team throughout all of training camp and the preseason.
The program, among other things is designed for aspiring coaches to observe and participate in practice and gain experience that will hopefully one day land them a full-time coaching position in the league.
It’s also worth noting another former Bills receiving great took a similar position as Eric Moulds is working this summer with the Arizona Cardinals.
Of course Reed spent 15 years in Buffalo as its greatest wide receiver of all-time; a career that saw him go to seven Pro Bowls and essentially re-write the team’s record book. Reed still awaits being able to take his rightful place in Canton.
I’m confident nearly all Bills fans are hoping he succeeds as a coach. Still, it’s pretty odd seeing him in Kansas City gear.
