The Buffalo Bills Friday activated Ron Brooks off the Injured/Designated to Return list and to free his roster spot up designated guard Chan Reinhart to Injured Reserve. A fourth-round draft pick this past April, Brooks will make his NFL debut and is likely to see time at the nickel corner spot along with Justin Rodgers.
Meanwhile, starting right tackle Erik Pears missed another day of practice while he deals with a hip injury and head coach Chan Gailey said he’s doubtful for Sunday’s game at Houston. Assuming he can’t go Chris Hairston will move over to the his spot with Cordy Glenn back starting at left tackle.
Glenn got off to a fine start this year but has been sidelined since suffering a high ankle sprain against New England in Week four. Hairston has been starting in his place.
Cornerback Terrence McGee can’t get past his nagging knee injury and is also listed as doubtful for the game. That may open the door for Leodis McKelvin to see more defensive playing time, especially if starting corner Aaron Williams continues to struggle.
