I’m hearing that the Buffalo Bills are set to host Texas A&M quarterback prospect Ryan Tannehill at their team facilities next Tuesday.
Expected to be a top ten pick in the NFL draft on April 26, Tannehill has been widely linked to the Miami Dolphins with the eighth pick. Miami selects two spots before the Bills. Lately, there’s even been talk of teams moving ahead of the Dolphins to select him.
In all probability, this is a case of Buddy Nix simply continuing his due diligence. Perhaps by showing public interest in Tannehill, it may entice a team to trade up with Buffalo, since Kansas City at No. 11 would be a strong candidate to select him.
Then again, if Tannehill happens to be there at 10 and the team isn’t married to Ryan Fitzpatrick for the future, maybe they would have a legitimate interest in him.
The Bills previously hosted running back Trent Richardson, though it’s highly doubtful they’d spend a top 10 pick on another running back even if he were to fall to them.
