Eric Mosely has signed a National Letter of Intent (NLI) with the St. Bonaventure University men’s basketball team, head coach Mark Schmidt announced Tuesday.
“We’re excited to have Eric join our basketball program,” said Schmidt. “He’s an athletic guard who can really score the basketball. He fits what we are trying to do in terms of pushing the ball in transition and he’s a good defender on the ball. He’s going to come in and help us right away.”
Mosely, a 5-foot-11, 170-pound Louisville, Ky. native, currently attends Cincinnati State Technical and Community College, where he is averaging 26.5 points, six rebounds and six assists per game. He will have two years of remaining eligibility with the Bonnies.
Mosely played in 20 games at Austin Peay State University in 2009-10 after averaging 26.4 points per game – the third-best average in the state – as a high school senior at Moore Traditional School. Mosely, a second-team All-State performer according to the Louisville Courier-Journal and Lexington Herald-Leader, helped lead Moore to a district championship and a 22-8 overall record in his final season.
