The Buffalo Sabres are in Philadelphia for a critical tilt (aren’t they all now?) with the Flyers this evening and the team announced following the morning skate that Jhonas Enroth will be in net for Buffalo tonight.
It’s Enroth’s first start in 10 games after Ryan Miller got the nod in the previous 10. Enroth’s last start between the pipes resulted in a 6-2 loss at Chicago on January 18. After a blazing start to his 2011-12 campaign that caused a bit of a goaltender controversy Enroth has cooled off considerably and is winless (0-6-2) in his last eight starts. In fact, you have to go back to November 26 at home against Washington for his last victory.
“I still feel pretty good about myself.” Enroth told reporters in Philadelphia this morning.
With 26 games remaining the Sabres find themselves 10 points behind Toronto for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
