Buffalo Bills safety George Wilson was recently released by the team. His unemployment lasted only 11 days.
Jim Wyatt reports Wilson has signed a multi-year deal with the Tennessee Titans. He also previously visited with the Detroit Lions.
Wilson was a team captain for Buffalo and one of their most popular players, but his play unquestionably slipped in 2012. Wilson didn’t have an interception and dropped late opportunities for picks in two games the Bills could’ve won.
Wilson spent seven seasons in Buffalo and amassed 12 interceptions and 16 sacks to go with three forced fumbles in 92 games.
His release saved the Bills $2.95 against the salary cap.
For now Da’Norris Searcy is slotted in as a starter in Buffalo. That could change after free agency and/or the draft.
