Mike Harrington of the Buffalo News reports from Ottawa that the Buffalo Sabres will scratch forward John Scott along with defensemen T.J. Brennan and Alexander Sulzer for their game with the Senators tonight. That means that defensemen Tyler Myers returns to the lineup after being a healthy scratch over the past two contests.
Rookie Mikhail Grigorenko also returns following a healthy scratch in Sunday’s loss to the Boston Bruins. Cody McCormick gets the nod over Scott on the fourth line, who will be scratched for the first time this season.
Harrington reported the Sabres lines at the morning skate as follows: Thomas Vanek, Jason Pominville and Cody Hodgson remain on the first line. Tyler Ennis, Drew Stafford and Marcus Foligno comprise the second line. Grigorenko is centering Steve Ott and Nathan Gerbe on the third while McCormick is with Jochen Hecht and Pat Kaleta on the fouth.
Myers was paired with Robyn Regehr on defense. Jordan Leopold was with Mike Weber and Christian Ehrhoff skated with Andrej Sekera.
Puck drop is 7:30pm tonight.
