ESPN’s Pierre Lebrun tweets late Monday night that the NHL and NHLPA are slated to resume negotiation talks on Wednesday at a location that is not yet known.
Earlier Monday the league officially announced the cancellation of two more weeks of the regular season, taking the league through at least December 30 with no games.
For the Buffalo Sabres, the cancellation covered eight more contests, including two at the First Niagara Center.
Around league circles, word is that the hope is to have a 48-game regular season, which would begin in early January. For that to happen, the impasse would realistically have to end within the next two weeks.
