According to a report by Rodney McKissic of the Buffalo News, the UB Bulls are gaining a football transfer. Cornerback Romel Dismuke is transferring to the University at Buffalo from Cincinnati, sources told the newspaper.
From McKissic’s story:
“Dismuke is believed to be the first player from a Bowl Championship Series school to transfer to UB. Dismuke is scheduled to arrive on campus today. He will be elibigle for the 2011 season. Dismuke redshirted last year, his true freshman season, at Cincinnati and will have three seasons of eligibility remaining.”
This is clearly another step in the right direction for the UB football program and for first-year head coach Jeff Quinn, who’s beginning to show the school and its football fans the aggressiveness of his recruiting.

It was bound to happen. For the same reason Bulls have left to play with Gill. I just can’t help but wonder if any prospective player comming in might be of a better pedigree than those who departed Buffalo.
