The biggest pitfall of running and maintaining a website almost exclusively on your own is being unable to write and update when something out of your control happens. Unfortunately for me and the BSD readers, that’s exactly what happened over the past week. I came down with arguably the worst case of the flu I’ve ever gotten during my existence in this planet, and it rendered me utterly useless for the better part of the week.
Because of that I didn’t get to chime in on the slew of Buffalo Bills coaching hires recently, nor put out a Buffalo Sabres season preview among other lost topics I’m not happy about it. Falling significantly ill also put this whole website into perspective and I now realize this is a gig that can’t be done alone–not when too many things can happen that put me/BSD behind the eight ball.
Therefore I’m going to be aggressively seek adding writing talent to this website over the next several weeks. For those that do enjoy frequenting BSD, I sincerely apologize for depriving you of any news and views over the past week and will work feverishly on amending the way things are done around here.
Lastly, I wouldn’t wish the flu I had last week on my worst enemy. I strongly suggest if you haven’t done so already, getting a flu shot and/or taking medication at the first sign of any illness. I straight-up got my ass kicked week last week and felt like I had been run over by a truck.
