The University at Buffalo women’s soccer team dropped their final game of the 2009 season to Kent State this afternoon, 2-0.
The first half was evenly matched, with both teams getting chances to score. Senior Jennifer Mihok had a shot blocked early in the match, and Stephanie Velez and Aubrey Stahl each added to the first half shot tally. Kent State took a one goal lead late in the first half with a goal by Rachel Dennis at the 42:20 mark. The goal came as Dennis was fed a pass from the right side and booted it past UB goalkeeper Amy Coron.
