Stupar and Harris were tendered by the Bills

  • Posted on March 9, 2010 at 12:33 pm

Though the team never officially announced it and I’m befuddled as to why, I’m told that the Bills tendered Jonathan Stupar and Cary Harris as Exclusive Rights Free Agents before last week’s deadline.

Harris appeared in four games with Buffalo last year and had the game of his life in the season finale against Indianapolis, picking off a pair of  passes, including one against Peyton Manning during the Colts opening drive.

Stupar appeared in 14 games last season, catching five passes for 39 yards.

Bills tendered Gaddis and Corto

  • Posted on March 6, 2010 at 1:38 pm

I spoke to Christian Gaddis and although the Buffalo Bills haven’t announced it, the team has tendered the offensive lineman as an exclusive rights free agent.

Gaddis has been a member of the Bills on and off since 2007 when he was signed as an undrafted free agent out of Villanova. He’s also spent time in the Cleveland and Indianapolis organizations.

He spent part of 2009 with the New York Sentinels of the United Football League before resigning with Buffalo. He appeared in one game for the Bills last year.

I can also confirm that Jon Corto has also been tendered.’

I haven’t been able to confirm if the other exclusive rights free agents were tendered: Marcus Buggs, Justice Hairston, Cary Harris and Jonathan Stupar. I asked Gaddis about them and he told me he didn’t know.

Quiet Gaddis Signing Prelude to Levitire at LT?

  • Posted on November 18, 2009 at 12:31 pm

With the dramatically sudden firing of Dick Jauron yesterday and Derek Fine going to the I.R. this morning dominating the headlines, a very under the radar move was also made, a manuever that could be very telling about Demetrius Bell.

Bell injured his knee Sunday at Tennessee and the extent of the injury hasn’t been revealed (expect an update this afternoon).  Jauron did say Monday in what turned out to be his final presser that he “wasn’t optimistic” about Bell’s injury.

This morning the Bills signed interior linemen Christian Gaddis to the practice squad (his third stint there) and released C.J. Hawthorne.
